Sorry, no picture this week! My shopping was spread out over the last few days. Therefore, some items were re-packaged, some were opened and ate/used, and some were already put away. Between the need for meat (and cheese ;) in the freezer and stocking up on a good diaper deal, I definitely went way over the top of my budget! What's a person to do? Unfortunately, I haven't found "out-of-this-world" meat sales at Walmart or H.E.B yet...and I'm beginning to think I never will!

Walgreens: Week of March 8 - 14

I got so much stuff at Walgreens already this week, I decided it needed its own post!

I saved a ton of money...but also spent quite a bit too! As is usual with me, (or is it Walgreens?), I had coupon troubles once again, and so I didn't get everything quite like I had originally planned. A few of the items were fillers, since I did several transactions.

Here's the breakdown...(I love figuring this stuff out!)...

5 Huggies Diapers [$4.20 each package] = $21.00
1 Huggies Wipes = $5.50
7 Garnier Fructis Hair Products [approx. $.14 each] = $.95
4 Edge Shaving Gels [$.74 each] = $2.96
4 Right Guard Deodorants [approx. $.96 each] = $3.86
5 Irish Spring Body Washes [approx. $.90 each] = $4.49
and I plan to get more of these as long as the coupons keep printing!
2 White Rain Hairsprays [$.96 each] = $1.92
2 Candy Bars = $1.59 (not pictured - I ate them!)
4 Red Baron Pizzas = FREE
1 Gain Fabric Softener = FREE
+ $2.68 in sales tax
Total $44.95
I saved a total of $123.68 or 73% by watching the sales and using coupons!

Or to simplify things, you could say that everything was $1.28 each, but I think I prefer the above breakdown better!

Once again, my shopping trip didn't go quite as planned! I caused some coupon confusion at Walgreens...and then we totally ran out of diapers the middle of last week and had to make an extra run for those! It really is too bad we couldn't have run out of diapers during the big Huggies sale/coupons/register rewards deal going on at Walgreens next week!! And then, I should have used a gift card I have for Walmart to help with the Pampers (my preference), but of course I didn't think of that until later!! Oh well! I'm still learning!

With those "excuses" in mind, here's the breakdown for this week:

XLarge White Shrimp [$3.99 lb.] = $3.95
Pretzels = $1.19
1 Gallon of Milk = $3.99
Tortilla Shells = $2.79
2 lbs Butter [$1.99 lb.] = $3.98
French Onion Dip = $1.19
Total = $19.54

1 dozen Eggs = $1.19
Paper Plates = $.99
4 Ritz Crackers 4 oz = FREE + $.02 overage
